Art Docent - September 17, 2013

Today was Art Docent day! This program takes place once per six weeks and offers a unique gift to our students by providing them with highly trained and intelligent Art Docent Volunteers that discuss key learning points in art education such as composition, personal history about the artist's life, world history, and how to observe the painting and the world around them.

Today our Docents discussed the life and works of Thomas Cole and Winslow Homer, two American artists, while engaging them in an enriching conversation!

Here are a few links to the artists and terminology that were discussed in today's Docent lesson.
